Samantha A. Smith is an associate at Avelino Law, LLP in the Trusts and Estates practice group. After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Franklin & Marshall College where she was a Dean’s List scholar and a member of the Epsilon Alpha Kappa Honors Society, Ms. Smith enrolled at American University Washington College of Law.

During law school, Ms. Smith was a member of law review and completed an externship at the D.C. Superior Court. She also worked in-house for a multi-national chemical company and at the Office of the New Jersey Attorney General. Ms. Smith graduated cum laude.

Following law school, Ms. Smith served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Maritza Berdote Byrne, Presiding Judge of General Equity in Morris and Sussex Counties in New Jersey. Ms. Smith’s clerkship encompassed probate, chancery, and commercial foreclosure matters.

Ms. Smith is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Taxation Committee and a member of the Irish American Bar Association of New York. She is admitted to practice law in New York, and is admitted to New Jersey but awaiting her swearing-in ceremony.
