Michelle L. Scanlon is an Associate at Avelino Law, LLP for the Trusts and Estates practice group. Michelle is personally committed to special needs advocacy and planning. Her practice focuses on estate and trust matters, guardianship, special education law, elder law and special needs planning.

Michelle presented at the Autism New Jersey 2020 Transition Conference and the 37th Annual Autism New Jersey Conference in 2019, where she addressed the unique legal and financial needs of families who have loved ones with special needs.

Michelle received her Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Political Science from Quinnipiac University in 2011. She received her J.D. from Rutgers University Law School in 2014. During law school, Michelle served as a Student Attorney at the Rutgers Education and Health Law Clinic, where she advocated for the rights of children with disabilities. She is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
